Registration Now Open for the 2024 CPSA DC119 19th Annual Colored Pencil Exhibition
Online Entries will be accepted through Monday, May 6, 2024.
Mailed entry forms must be postmarked no later than Monday, May 6, 2024
All Artists are welcome to participate
Any artists, 18 years or older, working in colored pencil is welcome to enter and need not be a member of the CPSA. Entry fees are $35.00 for CPSA members, and $45.00 for non-members. A check for the fee must accompany the entry form. Up to three pieces maybe submitted per entry. Monday,May 6, 2024 is the deadline for artists to submit with check payable to CPSA DC 119 or via Paypal.
Artwork will be judged and cash awards given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place. A people’s Choice Award and four Honorable Mentions will also receive cash awards.
Cmmunity Entries must be original, and must be 80-100% colored pencil
Works must be original, and 80-100% colored pencil, according to CPSA International or Explore This! guidelines.
Artwork must be framed and ready to hang, utilizing wire for hanging. No sawtooth hangers permitted. Additionally, each piece must identified with a label attached to the upper right hand corner. (labels are provided on entry form) All artwork sold is subject to 20% commission. Artwork not for sale is also welcome. Entries must have been completed within three years of exhibition date. Concept of design and execution of artwork must be solely that of the artist, and completely original. No prints or reproductions please.

Our Judge: Andrea Walker
Andrea Walker creates realistic paintings and drawings, and she specializes in portraits and still lifes. Her work focuses on a beautiful arrangement of shapes and light, portraying the beauty in the world through people and objects. Andrea was born and raised in Tennessee, then moved to Georgia to study Illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration while also studying with acclaimed portrait painter Amy Lind. She now resides and works in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Her creative approaches have won her many awards, inclusion in juried exhibitions internationally, and features in curated publications. Andrea is represented by 3 Square Art Gallery in Fort Collins, Colorado, is a member of Women in Watercolor, and is the Lead Instructor at ICI School of Art in Montgomery, Ohio where she teaches drawing, painting, and portfolio development. Andrea is also proud to be a Brand Ambassador and Brand Ambassador Coordinator for Holbein, Legion Paper, and General Pencil.
