2024 Workshop by Scott Krohn’s
Dramatic Dalia on Scratchboard
Saturday November 2, 2024 10 am- 4 pm EDT
Online and in person at
Springdale Nazarene Church (SNC) 11177 Springfield Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45246 (map).
We will be in the usual conference room upstairs used for quarterly meetings. Park and enter in the north doors. If attending in person at SNC, donuts for breakfast and sandwiches for lunch will be provided, with coffee and water. You are invited to bring a pot luck offering for the group.
The cost is $85 for DC 119 members and $95 for non-members.
Scratch board art is a way to create an image using a special board with a black surface layer and light colored underlayer. Using a sharp tool, you cut into the black surface to reveal the lighter layer and create an image from the series of light lines against the dark background. This image will then be colored using Derwent Intense pencils.
Once registered, you will receive an email with a link to download “How to Prepare” document of instructions for the class. SAVE this PDF. On the day of the workshop, just before 10:00 am EST, click on the link found in the instructions to enter the classroom. As Scott demos in class, you will follow along with the drawing. During the live workshop, feel free to ask Scott questions. And a few days after the workshop concludes, you will receive a link to a video recording of the entire workshop.
